Circular 1, Term 2, 2019

Thursday, 9 May, 2019

Dear Parents

Just a quick note to welcome you back to a new and busy term. I trust that you managed to spend some quality time with your children over the holidays.
I met all the children in Grades 3 to 7 for assembly on Tuesday looking very smart and ready for the challenges that lie ahead.
We will be majoring in keeping up the high standards of manners, dress code, punctuality and behaviour this term, and we are looking to you to support us in these endeavours – as I know you will! Please remember to be conscious of how well dressed and behaved your children are if they are in school uniform at the shops or in public areas. They will be noticed and they will set the image of the school in the eyes of the public – for good or for bad!

AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES
You will all have the afternoon activities list and school calendar of events by now, and as you know sports and clubs begin in earnest next week. Please make sure that you have the correct sports kit for your children as per the lists already circulated.

DIFFICULT TIMES
We are all experiencing undeniably difficult times in the country at present. The school is fully aware of the sacrifices that you are making in sending your sons and daughters to Twin Rivers at this time. Thank you for making the effort to pay what is required to keep our standards high. You will be the winners in the end.
There will no doubt be other events and practical matters that I will need to bring to your attention later in the term but for now – welcome back and I look forward to your support this term.

Yours faithfully

M. N. MACKENZIE
